This full day tour will allow for the full Holland experience including windmills, Zaanse huisjes, cheese tasting, the clog workshop, fish stalls and wonderful views. If you wish to see places beyond these highlights, just ask the guide and he’ll make some interesting and exciting suggestions.
Volendam is the most famous fishing-village of the Netherlands. Besides enjoying fresh herring or smoked eel, you will certainly enjoy yourselves in the old city centre. Stroll down the streets and discover the charecteristic, authentic houses. You also have the oppurtunity here to have your photo taken while wearing traditional Dutch clothes.
Marken on the other side is a former island where the residents still wear their tradtional costumes. The houses are built upon wooden pillars and terpen: time really seems to have stood still here.
Windmills can be found in the whole country, but the windmill village called the Zaanse Schans is the most famous. At Zaanse Schans you can look inside several windmills while enjoying the scenery.
