After departing from Amsterdam at 09.30, the tour starts in Muiden at the historical gardens of Muiderslot Castle, which is the best kept medieval castle in the Netherlands. The guide will give you an insight into the history of the gardens of Muiderslot Castle and you can enjoy the breathtaking view. The next stop will be the town Naarden, which is famous for resembling a snowflake from high above. This town once was a military defense spot to protect Amsterdam from the enemy. There will be given a tour that brings you back in time at the Fortress Museum. After lunch in the special Arsenaal Restaurant, the trip will be continued in Baarn to see the Groeneveld Castle that used to be occupied by wealthy people who lived in Amsterdam (Amsterdammers) to enjoy some fresh air away from the city. Inside the building the original paintings and stucco serve as reminders of the Rococo style period. A guided tour will be given at this location. The arrival back to Amsterdam is around 17.10.
